Trying to track down some of our old bloodlines, as we quit breeding a long time ago. Saw a few posts Of people that though they had some of the Hutto dogs?

I picked up a yellow thicker coated bobtailed gyp that was supposedly out of hutto stock, I passed her on to a buddy who passed her to someone else, no idea where she is now or if she even came off ya'lls stock or not. The man i got her from just said thats what he was told by the previous owners.

Check with Bigo or Cward on here.  If memory serves they are familiar with some.

I don't know of anyone that has kept the Hutto blood bred as a family, surely there must be some around. Just about every good stock dog family that has it's roots from the Huntsvill, Cleveland area will have some Hutto, Woodruff and Winfry blood. The Big Boy dog that all of mine go back to was by a Woodruff dog that was out of a Hutto gyp. Weatherford Ben's momma was by a Hutto dog that Phill Lynes got from Doughbelly Quinney. That gives him a shot of Hutto blood on both sides. Cwards dogs have Woodruff and Hutto blood.

Jenna aka Jim Mikes wife.. Justin I think I saw a pic of yours, and my husband thought she resembled some of the dogs they had. T bob parker has a bitch that I would like a pup out of. But if you have any pics of.that gyp you had post please so we can look at her better? How did she hunt?

Only concern about her is she has been passed around a lot, which typically if a dog is anything Like the ones we have had, you don't want to get rid of them.

I will be 100% honest with you, she didn't work out for me and my pack, she was wired like that little squirrel in the movie over the hedge lol, never sat still EVER  but she was a young good natured dog so I gave her to a buddy of mine to try right when he got into the sport, he gave her to another ol boy down the road from me and that is where the story ends, I will talk to him this evening to see if she ended up working for him or not and shoot ya'll a pm to let you know what came of her. I will call the man I got her from to see if he knows/ remembers where he got her from, there may be a chance that the people he got her from may have others related to her. I will see if I can't run down some more information.

Here are a couple of pics of the gyp Justin is talking about.  They aren't the best but it's what I've got.

There is a man who stays in Huntsville, out towards highway 30 somewhere that had a Hutto gyp that we crossed with our big male dog a couple years ago and a man in Richards came and bought the last two that I didn't keep last year. I'll see if I can get some pictures of the gyp and or the pups. I heard that the pups have been on a couple in the woods and were turning out really good for him
