Pretty slick set up Jimmy. Them coyotes best watch out. The only thing that could possibly make it any nicer would be be to have the doors remotely opened from inside the cab of the truck. How cool would that be?!! Imagine just cruising the pasture, see a coyote, hit a switch and the race is on!! Looks good!

I was thinking the same thing. Funny part is Ive actually thought out how to do it, if I ever get around to building a new box.

Looks great man. How much you got in material, and where did you get them nice latches? I see them on the factory dog boxes but never see them in hard wear stores.

About 90 bucks worth of tubing, the mesh is just some horse panel, and the diamond plate was at a buddys place from an exhisting project so we cut some shapes and riveted it on. The hinges and latches I got from a trailer manufacturing place down the road, they just come in a packet, about 18 bucks and they use them on trailer toolboxes etc.

Good to see an Aussie design over there.
Plenty of guys here have quick release set ups, some on dog chains others over the cage door. A solenoid from a starter motor mounted above the door (with some springs on it) and a switch in the cab to release, easy.
cheers

If y'all are talking about a box that will open from the inside then we have been using them for years. I have never posted pics but have them on my phone and can send them too you. You just have to be careful where you put your latch because we have had dogs stick there head out and hang there collar and open the door at 70 miles an hour.
