I have been taking in a few young dogs in for training & getting them started for a while now. Never advertised before so letting the general public know about it.
I have a 25 acre pen that is very thick with running hogs & a smaller bay pen to bay hogs in.
If you have young dogs you dont have the time to get them started, & want them run every other day, let me know. Dogs will learn to cold trail, jump, bay & run if they have it in them. I will give a honest assessment & evaluation after a week or two.
A lot of people send me their older dogs during deer or turkey season just to keep them legged up & in shape.
Price is $300.00 a month or $250.00 a month for multiple dogs.
Here are some references. I will post their names & if you want to talk to them, I will pm you their number. Just did not want to post their number online.

John Dove   from Virg.  (bear hunter)                               Mike Starling from La.   (hog hunter)
Mark Dufrense from Maine   (bear hunter)                         Andy Becker from Wisc. & now La.  (hog & bear hunter)
Mark Carouso from La.  (hog hunter)                               Mark Becker from Wisc. (bear hunter)
Todd Dempster from La. (hog hunter)                              Richard Jones  La.   (hog hunter)

Here is a video of my 4 1/2 month old pups running in the pen. They trailed this shoat, jumped it, ran it for 2 hours & bayed it.

Mike, Between letting my pups run loose & then starting them in the pen, it makes me wonder how I ever trained a dog before. Of course back then I hunted at least 3 or sometimes 4 days a week. That pen does take most of the work out of training but I have had people come over with grown dogs & they could not find the hogs in there.
Nathen, those are littermates to the two you have. John shot that video last week right before they bayed him & we were trying to catch them off when we saw how much pressure they were putting on that shoat.

Jon, I do put garmins on them. I will also teach them to handle. I will let them run a hour to hour & 1/2 after they jump & catch them off . That way it does not put wear & tear on the hogs. Dogs will be run every other day. Most pups will average 4-6 miles a hour depending on age while I have had older dogs run 9-11 mph. A lot depends on what time of the year when it is really thick. Believe me a dog has to learn how to use his nose. I have had people bring old dogs in there & not find the hogs. This is not about letting dogs run the hogs in the ground & catching them. It will happen but it is more about getting young dogs started using their nose & running. I do have a small bay pen to put dogs in to let them bay a hog.

Guys, if you have a dog that you don't have the time to put into, one that you need to get a unbias accessment of, or a puppy that needs to be started, Cajun (Mike Cauley) is the man to do it for you. I have been to a lot of doggers yards and this is the best setup I've ever seen. Top facilities from kennels to training pens. Mike puts in the hard work and has the ability to understand what makes a pup or grown dog tick. To me this is the biggest thing in training pups, understanding what is going on between a pups ears and putting into motion the steps needed for that particular pup to develope into all they can be. All dogs are different, this man can tell you what an animal is going to do before they even know it. He can do a better job of starting dogs than you or me, that's why I take my dogs to Mike Cauley for training!               Mike Starling /aka Big Game Joe  Afro

Thanks for the compliments. Mike you are going to make me blush.  I can do nothing with a dog unless he has the right genetics. All I can do is expose him to the game I want him to hunt & let those gentics do the work that dog is programed to do. Even the best bred dogs, you will sometimes get culls. Exposure, exposure & more exposure is all anybody can do & hope the bell rings in a young dog.

Taz, you are right, it is a good deal & if I was actually hunting the dogs in the wild or totally obedience training it would be far more just to cover expenses & time. Being right here at the house I can make sure they get in on the game. If they are a little slow I put more time in to get them going.
There were two gyps in the video but I dont think you would like them. They are open on track. Evil They are for sure gritty little pups.

I know if those services your providing we're where I lived, it could become a full time job for you!! Definetly first class setup!

As for the open on track dogs, if they are fast enough to stop the hog, and they want to catch when they do, I want a pack of them!! Evil
