awesome, I'm thinking of going with a dovetail myself. dragging was always my concern, but I agree with just taking the buggy off If need be. I'm just tired of dragging a wind sail around. lol What brand is it?

Just a little update:

I've put over 120 miles on this bike since I bought it and even with these little dink 25" tires it has been nothing short of impressive, my only gripes/ complaints (which are minor) are that it has NO closeable or lockage storage built in, it also has no 12v plug ins (30$ 30minute fix thanks to oreilly lol) and with a window on the front (came with the buggy) the cupholders are completely useless, if you put rope/ pack of cigs or whatever in the cup holders it will bounce/blow out never to be seen again (ask me how I know) Grin And my last gripe is that the dang thing feels like it has  ALOT more room to run but it tops out at 40mph.......anyone have any idea if this is a governor/ restricter plate issue or is 40mph all these buggies will run? its not that big a deal but I ride it around china to a few different buddies/family members houses and it would be nice to have a little more go.

Anyhow just thought I would give a little review of the buggy so far. We are very impressed with its power and comfort. I've run it up and down canal banks thru ditches, over the hills and thru the woods and it hasn't stopped or bogged out once yet, the guys that know and have hunted with me know im rough on my buggies and while I haven't had the time yet to see the extended durability so far I'm very pleased. If you are lookin for a good side by side, I def. wouldn't pass up looking at a big red if you don't want to buy brand new.

The 12v outlet should have been between the seats against back wall of cab. The bikes are governed at 42. I'm not sure if u can get a programmer to fix this. If it gets dusty be sure to keep a close eye on air filter. If the bike has been off say over night the full level on oil is where the dip stick goes from flat to round. When u unscrew it and pull it that is where oil should be. They tell u to crank let run 5 min then let sit 5 min then check. If ur trans acts like it wants to slip between first and second ur oil is low. Air and oil filter is same as 700 rubicon rincon whatever they call it. Make sure to use motorcycle or atv oil. Trans and engine use same oil so u need an oil designed for this. Automotive oil is not.

thanks for the info shotgun, I looked all over it the other day for a 12v hookup, couldn't for the life of me understand why a honda utv wouldn't have a 12v outlet, hell almost all of their fourwheelers do, just didn't make sense to me but i may have very well over looked it, i'll check today when I get home. I was wondering about the oil as well, was gonna call my buddy that sold it to me but you just solved that problem as well. Sure appreciate all the info. How often do you chance your oil?

Just a suggestion:  I have a lawn service and I use Mobil 1 fully synthetic motorcycle oil in all the
transaxles on the zero turn mowers. After burning a few trans axles up, a buddy recommended
the Mobil 1 motorcycle oil. I have not had any issues since. The transaxles run MUCH cooler with
this oil. With the stock base oil you could fry an egg on the transaxles. With the fully synthetic
motorcycle oil you can lay your hands on the housings. The Mobil 1 motorcycle oils are formulated
for engines and transmissions that share the same oil.

The big red is probly the least accessorized UTV made. It was never considered cool so aftermarket suppliers never really saw a good market. Gorilla offers beefed up axels with better latches that hold the cv axel in the differential better. I think they offer a lift as well with extended axels. Most mods or accessories have to be made or adjusted to make it work. The hondaline accessories are over priced. A decent metal shop can build a roof and a windshield for it probly cheaper than hondaline. If u get a winch I recommend the viper 5k. It comes with a snatch block and when these things get stuck believe me they are stuck. I welded metal to my bumper to mount the winch then built a cage around it to protect the winch from trees when I play bulldozer.
