Now that's pretty darn cool. How do the dogs fare when they catch one on the ground? kinda like hogs, just depends on each bear, had two get cut, one on the chest, and one on the hip. the dogs usually fair pretty well. but every once in a while you might get on a real mean (dog killin) bear, they will reach out and grab one and ball up on it and shake it like a rag doll. but most of the time they will just run, walk or tree. bear will do like hogs sometimes and back up against something to keep the dogs off its rear, "if" they are putting the teeth to it, and single a dog out and charge and smack. |

Cats and bears, I think that would be a good time ! its fun at times, if you are in the action, most of the time you are just looking for dogs. i would 10-1 rather hog hunt, if i had the hogs here that are in tx i would probly quit bear hunting all together.   |

Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of your dogs. here are some pics of a few of my dogs  these are my two red tick female litter mates.  this is my maltese plott female that got cut on the hip  this is a 10 month old pup out of nimrods rockytop onyx and my hayze female (top reproducer)  this is hayze and last litter, she is a maltese plott too. |
