Mr. Mason, I heard you finally got you one and love it. Grin I just wanted to share some things with you that you may be interested in or may already have, I don't know.

Glad you got ya one.  Wink

Anyway, I'm sure you've already heard that garmin has better maps that you can download. However, if your like me, all that takes too much time and can be a pain in the rear end Huh?, if ya know what I mean. I like the simpler things in life, and i'm sure most of us do.

With that being said, Garmin has some "Preprogrammed microSD cards."  ;)They have many different regions that are loaded with detail, including terrain contours, elevation information, trails, summits, rivers, lakes and roads.

Also, they have an awesome antenna that will give you a lot more range (3-miles more.) It's good for that thick brush or high and low terrian situations you may encounter. Or, if the dogs run over a mile out and your loosing signal and have to climb a tree to pick up signal (like I had to do last year several times), this may work well for you.
So yeah, hope this helps you and anybody else just getting started with their garmin. Your gonna love it!

Here's a few pics....

Stoked,
Thanks for the infor.
You know I don't have dogs to get out of range, GPS is just to find where they are sitting or laying down resting so I can pick them up.  Smiley
I have the card in there and it show most all of the old cow trails and dry creeks so I can tell where they are.

Good information.

Yall have been talking about different places to get one and on your other post someone mentioned  conkeysoutdoors.  I dont mind spending a little more if service comes with the sale.  Is there any other good places to buy from out there because as soon as the wife gives the ok I am going to order one.
