That is the truth and get what says in writing if has to do with a garuntee or return. He will crawfish out it

I don't need any dogs . . but I like all of the new terminology they create. I know what windmilling is and I think I figured out the red albinos. Lead catch dog is laughable but self-explanatory. But this "quarterbacking lead' thing is new to me. Does anyone know what that is?

Does Donald Cain still write the propaganda in Full Cry? Is there still a Full Cry?

i think that donald cain never wrote those articles, if i had to guess, randy wright wrote them and sent them to mr. cain, then mr. cain personalized it with an opener and a closer and sent it off to full cry.

best i can say what a "quarter backing lead style" is, is when your dogs lead from the front end but sweep around to the top of the back quarter on each side of the bunch as they do it.

i guess maybe "half a windwill" could describe it. haha.

whatever the trait can be called, i breed for it in my own dogs, as opposed to a dog that will just stake out his spot at the lead of a bunch and just stay there.

This is what I gathered as well. Dogs ability to keep the front end of a set from getting to spread out width wise. Man seems to know cow dogs but $1000 a pup is to rich for me. I'd give $1000 for a pair of the right pups, but not just one.

I believe Donald Cain passed on a few years ago...he always wrote about a different stud dog each month and all were of the very very best...

W.Ben is a nice looking dog and I really like his head but at least in that picture he is slightly out at the elbow's and that interferes with the fluid movement required for long range hard running and stamina...his chest does not appear to be as deep as it should be for extra lung capacity...any show judges out there that can comment???

I am wondering about this because this dog was used extensively as a top breeding stud dog in the FBMCBA...

Seems like Mr. Cain loved that style of dog...That type of dog might be good for working cattle but hard running on a hot track is questionable

On a big bunch of cattle in a big place a dog generally makes more steps in less time than a dog running a track or bayed on a single hog. I have lost lots of dogs to heat gathering cattle, but never lost one to heat hog hunting.

that kinda depends on the dogs whether they'll over heat or not ... if you got  one that will stay hooked on a running hog in the summer in rowed pines where there is no water  they'll over heat ...... penning cattle in the summer is  ruff on dogs I've seen several die from over heat .....

I have seen some hard hunting cur dogs that keep rolling over on hogs in the summer heat die from heat exhaustion...especially when they are catchy...
