I tried searching, and came up dry. I havent seen many hunting posts this week so I got to wondering how often does everybody go.  Now I dont go as often as I like to but I get out one day a week for sure and most the time two.  an occasional third time but its been pretty rare these days.

So how much do you all go.

Once a week but try to go twice a week, just depends on what is going on and what the weather is like.

Jab jab there LEE-VON hahaha.  I have spent many a days in the light rain and turned out a couple of months ago when it was 17 degrees.  The really really wet weather effects ground conditions for getting around and when it is pooring down rain all the scent is going to be washed away so I steer away from that.  The worst hunting condition in my opinion is when you turn dogs loose at 9pm at night with NO breeze and it is still about 90 degrees and then after hunting for about 5 hours you get back to the truck to see that it has cooled off to 89.  The heat sucks and with no wind it sucks even worse, but I still keep going to feed the mesquitos  Grin

hey hog doggin 91.  hey aussiedogger how did u get into hogdoggin if your parents arnt into it?  Well my dad used to hunt when he was younger but now he's totally uninterested. and my mums sort of against hunting. haha. I always wanted to hunt when i was younger but mum wouldnt even let me handle a rifle till i was nearli 15 Sad SUX! I always wish i was born into a hunting mad family. haha. Well i went frm bird hunting with a little slug gun, to rabbits, foxes, dingo's, red deer, goats, everything that moves etc. haha. with mates and their parents. Even before i was aloud to hunt i always knew id be a hog hunting fanatic. Then came my sisters fiance'..... he opened up my world. haha. It just so happened that he shared my passion. We still dont get to go much because of his work commitments and properties are so hard to get on in australia because hogs are worth allot a $ at the wild game chillers. But the moment i heard that hog squeel when that beautiful big dogs jaws clamped down on its ears i new it would be a lifelong obsession. Now im hangin out till september to get ma licence. Nothins gonna stop me then. I'll be out hog huntin every weekend, all weekend Cheesy No matter what. Another crap point on it all: My brothers a fairly awesum footy player and their so proud of him (i am too) but when i get back from a trip and for example say: Caught this massive boar with awesum cutters, they'll give me a "so what" look. I just wish they were into it like i am and be proud of what i do. AND! im a farm boy and all with thousands of acres but im only aloud one dog! if i ever wanna go huntin by myself... i cant with just one catch dog can i? Im not even aloud to breed from her or get another dog until i move out. is the rule. Its so screwed up. I take care of her so well and give her so much attention. I just dont see their point. When i get my building apprenticeship at the end of the year im thinkin of building a little hut up the paddock so i can get me some more dogs. haha. well enough raving on about my problems.....  Lips Sealed had to release a bit of frustration there  Grin
