Sad situation. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. Also feel for the dog, who knows if it was actually trying to protect the baby. No matter what the dog will always be blamed but you just never know. The family is in my prayers tho.

Ill never forget, when I was a kid a local law enforcement K-9 handler had his work dog kill his infant.

it is real sad...there are dogs that get jealous of the new baby in the house...if the parents don't read the signals and take corrective action right away this can happen...this is fairly common and sometimes the best answer is to get rid of the dog before a baby or child gets killed or mauled...
