Take some rope and unravel it all with a knot tied at top then take a spinnerbaits and take skirt off the slip knot over hook and throw it in the area of the gar and let the fun begin

We catch them with perch best way to rig up is go to bass pro shop get some steel liter line so you can make your own length and get a big treble hook I make it bout 18 inches then at the top I put a crimp weight with a big slip weight use a surf style rod and let the good times roll

You fish for them on bottom? I've always used big cork like the poppin rigs for specks and reds

Yes I fish the bottom in the river at night and cork in the day but when the water is moving good I just on the bottom
