I've done talked myself into getting a samurai or a 2door chevy tracker to build a doggin buggie out of. There cheaper than a side by side, street legal, ac and heat and I can get parts at any auto parts store. Anyone else have one already rigged out? Post some pics.

This isn't mine but was used on a hog hunt I got invited on . It got through old rice fields and ditches pretty easily .. I was really impressed with it .

I have not seen a cheap samuri. The used ones I have found were more than a new side by side. I have thought about just building my own side by. I think I will just get a golf cart and go Tim Taylor on it. Then I would not have to turn it off to hear the dogs and the hogs would not hear me coming. Just need a small generator for back up.

Got a '94 Geo Tracker 4x4 Automatic that's already rigged for hunting for sale. $3500. It has a 2 hole dog box built in the back. I'm located near Temple, TX.

Craigslist has them from 2k-6k all decked out with lift and tires. A 2008 teryx runs about 5,500-8,500. Road legal is wayyy cheaper.

yeah you used to be able to get them for just about nothing till the rock climbing craze ran the prices through the roof , but you can still shop around and find a fixer upper for around 2500 to 3000 .

This was when I used a home made box/rack and 2 chain outs on the hood.

This is after smaller tires, paint and a bench seat for the kiddos. I took a piece of pipe, heated and flattened the ends then bolted it to the top across the bed. Drilled 4 holes for eye bolts and chain. Now I chain 4 in the back and ride 2 on the hood. The other Sami is my buddies. He got his for $3k, I got mine for $1200

I saw a Samurai with Outlaw tires on it a few weeks ago, it looked sharp. With the outlaw tires it would be hard to stick it. The samurai is real light. I don't know about a Tracker. The only thing about the Samurai I didn't like was the engine,a little more HP would be nice.

Here's my samurai it still needs a little work.  Gotta repaint it and get the dog box built in the bank of it but it's a damn good rig.  They're tough as nails and you can't get the Sucker stuck.  If you road hunt your dogs 4L 1st hear is perfect for just piddling down ol pasture roads.
