I just called a local gun dealer."Carters Country" He just told me that the government did try to put exp. Dates on the ammo, but do to cost they couldn't do it. Ammo has a 40 ur shelf life. So, the way I got it figured is if the apocalyptic comes within now and the next 40 we are good. Lol...

Thats good to know. As of now they arent doing it. But give them time, it will happen. Where did u get the 40yr shelf life? Iv shot and still have some wwii ammo in 7.62x64. They shhot fine, havent had a failed discharge yet. But im sure it will happen eventually. I hav issues with 22lr not firing, even "new" ammo.

That's just what Tue guy told me. I really don't know. I'm sure your WW2 stuff is maid a lot better then the stuff today seeing how the government want to shut it all down. If I'm not mistaken which I have been wrong only 2 times in 36 years I think most powders are imported from over seas. So no telling wha they got up their sleeves.

Thanks chris, I'll get 1 ordered.

Freedom-fighter, Pinot sure on the powder being imported, haven't gotten into reloading yet. But if it is, it's only a matter of time till they figure out how to make a powder with a shelf life, imported or not.

Hopefully the snitching rats will get ran over by taxi cab and become a quadriplegic and have to c hit and piss in a bag the rest of their life. Not to mention the local a-holes who are wanting people to snitch on other. I sure hope there is a special place in hell for the government and their cronies. A better place would be the community outhosuse septic tank would suit people like that.

The funny thing to me about preppers is they use to call the homesteaders. Boy how times change. From the guy smart enough to know how to live off the land to the crazy apocalypse guy. Go figure.

Where them "homesteaders" not preparing for something, a long cold hard winter, drought in the summer, heavy rains and flooding? Be it the current name of preppers, 150yrs ago homesteaders,  or what ever is the next name for it, they and we are preparing for something. It's just another name for something.

I was speaking of the connotations associated to the name not the act.

I was watching TV the other day and they were talking about how a big solar flare could wipe out all the electrical grids. While I believe when to apocalypse happens the only prepping that will matter will be Jesus as your Savior. But being ready for man made stuff to fail seems ok to me. I would not call myself a prepper. But police watching them is a complete waste of my tax dollars. The problem is the growing police state that we live in. The problem is not the people the problem is the government. The huricane hit Galveston and the mayor said that rebuilding the city would be easier without people. I thought you needed people to have a city. When the government sees the people as the problem and that is the problem. If someone is paranoid the government is watching them and the government is watching them then they are not crazy. Most people just want to live their life and be left alone. From left wing hippies to right wing conservatives. The hippies living in the desert not bothering anyone are being targeted by law enforcement groups. I figure if you are not hurting anyone else you should be left alone. Just because someone is crazy does not make them wrong or stupid.

People with very limited or no food or protection stored, just means they will c Jesus sooner than those who stockpiled an ample supply of food and weapons. Death cant be stopped, but dieing bc of lack of supplies is not gonna be my demise. Religous belief is outstanding, but throwing the bible and speaking of religion alone aint gonna stop those that aim to take what a person has. Turning the other cheek to get swated too aint for me. Id rather be judged by GOD himself at a later time for protecting myself than being carried in a pine box by 6 for turning the other cheek.

That is what I'm saying Charles. Apocalypse is from the Bible. So for that there is only one way to prepare. But what people are doing you better be prepared. As far as that video goes anybody stocking up on MRE's can have them Grin That is not suspicious just means that they don't know what they taste like Those crazy hippies live in RV's in the desert. So if someone buys an RV is that supicious? The government is watching so all the crazy people were right this whole time. If a crazy person points to a tree in the park and says the tree is watching him. But if that crazy person points to a camera and say the government is watching he is put on a list. Me well I figure I'll just moon them and smile. I think the government will be the cause for major problems.

Hell, them MREs taste better than my wifes cooking on any ole day. Even the 5 fingers of death in the brown bag special has better flavor than anything my wife whips up. If it aint got directions on it, shell screw it up for dang sure.

Im with u dub, ill be glad to show my a$$ to the cameras, physically, not just litteraly. Iv been listening to "crazy anti gov talks n conspiracys" since the late 80s from my pops n he wasnt crazy. He was 100% right. I wish that 1 spark that is said will ignite the civi powder keg happens most ricky-tick. Get it over with dooner than later n hopefully something better comes out of it for childrens sake n their childrens sake.
This country cant take much more of this governmental crap, both the dems n repubs are selling the country out to the anybody who wants to take advantage of it n own it, Except for the US citizens owning it
