I got an invite from Mike to hunt with him, Thomas ( Doggie ) and Deon ( Smokinace ) out in Flatonia. We started around 6 am or so and had nice cool weather till around 11:30ish. The dogs hunted hard for 8 hours got to see some races but the ranch has net fence and the hogs knew exactly where to go to blow through without slowin down . At the very end of the hunt Mike , Deon and Thomas saw a good sized group of hogs but the dogs were to worn out from all the races to start another one and it was just too hot by then.
Thomas it was real good to hunt with you again and I enjoyed your stories and talkin dogs with you. I sure am impressed by your dogs they stayed busy and hunted hard all day . It was also cool to see your pup figuring things out too.
Mike I enjoyed the hunt and thanks for the invite. That's some real nice country .. I gotta remember to take a picture of your Garmin map next time at the end of a hunt. I 've been tryin to explain to my bird dog friends how much land your dogs cover while hunting and on the chase with a hog.
Deon I'm sorry your buddy couldn't make it but I sure enjoy hunting and jokin around with you. I'll pick me up a rabbits foot sometime this week hahaha!!
