Giving BULLDOGS a New Name

« on: September 13, 2009, 11:55:19 am »

Guys went hunting yesterday with daisy dog a couple of friends and my Son in Law (his first hunt). Daisy struck within 5 mins and was yipin behind a hog, another started yipin with her, one of our guest happened to be holdin SKITZER CD he heard the pups yippin and thought they were bayed so he cut the bulldog loose. We looked for him for 4 hrs last night and Phillip went back this morning and NO Skitzer. Normally we would have a tracker on him but we had one to many dogs last night and didnt have one on him. It poured rain on us the entire time, I got my truck stuck on two seperate occasions with a dog trailer attached to it finally got my truck out the last time but I couldnt get back in there to get the trailer. Phillip called Ricky got him out of bed about 2:00am he brought his truck out and with a little fenesse he got it out. The only good thing associated with this hunt was the #2 at Whatta Burger at three this morning. For all you praying guys out there, say one for the safe return of SKITZER our CD and companion. Phillip and I have alot of great memories with him and miss him already

Rader, them good dogs always show up. But I know how it feels, hope he makes it out.

I lost my little bulldog last year, same kind of deal. He was gone for 10 days, rancher picked him up and brought him to me.

found skitzer safe and sound. a little hungry but ok.just got him about 5:30 tonight. what raider failed to mention was we had to go find every dog last night. found Zig 1 mile away,Clay about 2.25 miles in different direction frank was almost 6 miles away.Zelda was 1.4 miles and she is only11 months old and doing very well. so all in alll it was a crummy, crappy, cruddy, wet miserable little scary night .and maybee tho 200th pig will come next weekend, because this weekend we got SMOKED.

Dang, sounds like they covered some ground. Hunting lost dogs is never fun.

Glad you found them. Glad you had the meal... man, I haven't had a whataburger in years. Next time I'm back in TX I need to have one.

Did you get stuck in a 2 or 4wd?
