I think I've made my point. Who cares what the pig looks like just catch it and do whatever u do with it. As for posting a pic what does it matter what I caught I wanna see the pig that started the thread were talking about. He'll I've never posted a pic. People who hunt with me have mayb they'll show u one mayb not. Have fun hunting boys.

Well I believe there are a couple ways of looking at this. I can see different angles and arguments for both. However, I don't believe the fellow that started the post meant any harm and I don't see any crying going on. What I do know is I have a couple jam up catch dogs that catch snout and by the back legs only  Just kidding obviously-trying to have a little fun. Seems like most of the post these days turn into verbal pissing matches-which I don't really care to read. |

Lol ya it can get out of hand some times but I thought a open forum was so that you can post your opion. A lot of time some will agree some won't some will think there right some will get there feeling hurt but it's all in a day of Internet hog hunting lol

Good job taking that hog out Monty , I don't understand why people Barr and release hogs in the first place much less cutting ears off. I thought the whole point of this sport was to catch and cash in, not create dog killers.

I like how I was just giving a heads up about catching a hog in that town.and to see how chit gets turned around.

Quite the trend these days on forums. That good ol Facebook is even worse, lol.
I think folks tend to look way too far into things sometimes. I took this thread as a friendly heads up to be aware in that certain area that there may be someone cutting both hogs ears clean off which can obviously increase the already existing risk of injury to our working dogs. If I were running that area I'd appreciate the heads up. People do do this kinda thing. Who knows what possesses them to do so but id sure hate to run into somebody intentionally doing that for no reason. They'd sure get an ear full.
Yes of course we all know ears get torn off too, but if a hog has two clean cut holes where ears once were, it's sure likely they were cut off not torn. The world may never know lol.
Thanks for the heads up I'd say. I'm one of few women here on this board but sometimes I wonder, lol. Something so simple, can sure turn into something all over the place quick like.

I know a guy that hunts hogs in the national forest, not with dogs. He also traps hogs. Every boar hog he traps, he barrs, then cuts the tail and the ears. It has nothing to do with dog hunters. It's so that he and his fellow hunters can easily identify a barr hog to shoot for consumption.

I could care less ears no ears tail no tail I am a hog hunter. My dogs would be upset with me if didn't hunt them due to something some one did or didn't do. Like I said befor if your dogs are going to get it then that's what will happen. Trian them run em live and love hard that's my way. It's hard to be hard in a soft world and you never know how hard you are until the blows keep coming. Good luck to every one be safe out there on the web

If someone intentionally cuts ears off for the purpose of making it hard for a dog to catch , that is bull sheet in my eyes. If you chime in about something on the internet then expect to be called out on it.

I wasn't saying there soft just some people can handle Any can be stopped when the time is right more than others just like a person who wins all the time then crys when he loses and a guy that don't ether way but keeps moving foward that's all buddy any pig can be hard to catch I ain't never seen one with carrying handles and a receipt
