Well we just got back from a good hunt, its Sunday night about 12:30. We unloaded the dogs around 8, they took off and about 30 min we had a bay going. We got closer and cut the rcd's to them, we never heard a squeal or grunt but the dogs were baying heavy. I ran in with my cd Tex and cut him loose when I saw the rcd's hanging off one in the bottom of a creek. I handed my garmin and cell phone to my buddy and jumped into the water. I grabbed the hog fighting the current both me and the hog going under water. My dogs were trying to stay afloat also, little did I know they had another one caught in the creek 10 yds from the first one. I yelled at my dad and friend to jump in and hobble him while I went to the other one. The other hog was caught by my little rcd Tuff, I pulled the hog out of a leaning tree and went straight under water. Finally I floated down aways and could reach the bottom, I stuck the hog and waited for some help so we could drag him to the bank. After everything was out of the water we started heading back to the trucks. We reached the trucks, loaded the dogs, and went back in my dads truck to get the hog, this is where it all goes wrong. On the way to the hog my dad got his truck stuck so I had to walk all the way back and get mine, I pulled him out, loaded the hogs, then headed back out. My dad ended up getting stuck again, and I almost did numerous times but the ole' chevy 1500 hd didn't let me down. After it was all over with we ended up with two good hogs both averaging out around 150 lbs. and some good action shots. The ppl that accompanied me were, my Dad, my gf Samantha, and my best friend Cody!!!!

This was the first hog

Me swimming to the first hog

The second hog

Tuff caught on the ear

Me pulling the hog out of the tree

Me going in for the stick

The going under the water with the hog was a blast, it was kinda scary cuz I couldn't see and the current was taking us but thats what made it fun!!!

I was really glad it wasn't, we are going to hunt hard during winter so I'll prolly get my chance to jump in some freezing cold water lol!!!

you know I look at these pics and the first thing that comes into my mind is "Check these kids out on a Friday night they are out hog doggin." My Wife and I raised 5 boys and a girl. My boys grew up coon huntin and deer huntin with a bow, never had any of them get in much trouble because thier hobbies were huntin and fishin. It make me proud to see these two young men and this young lady out Doggin Southern Style. Keep on doin what your doin you never know your lifestyle may just pull one of your friends thru a tough time some day.

Jason, the bibs work great, the chin flap never comes down but the whole bib turns just a little to one side every now and then, it doesn't flip completely around so I can deal with it. It has saved one of my good cd's so I strongly recommend them!!!

You are right, I don't see the need in going out like I use to anymore. I'd rather chase hogs than girls any day lol, I have had lots of gf's but I finally found one that loves being in the woods chasing hogs with me, what more could you ask for!!!
