From what I saw on several hound breed sites, the English coonhound or English hound seems to call them the red tick, but I thought they were blue ticks too till I looked them up last yr. there is an English blue tick, but a search of just English hounds pulls up the red tick. As redneck rob said, get up with mr written and or wait for some of the hounds men to respond and give you their input. Hopefully they will respond bc I'm curious myself as to the difference in the English hound lines
