Travis, Deon and the property manager on one of my city spots met me for a hunt this morning. A few hogs moved in this past month, including a nice spotted boar, that have been seen on camera several times.

I brought my 8 month old male pup out of my old Hunter for his first trip to the woods and Ruby, who is Hunter's littermate sister. Circle C sent Ruby to me last week cause she was way too trashy as a cow dog... always trashing on hogs ha ha!

I turned her loose and Travis turned his Percy dog loose... a short while later they both showed bayed on the Garmin. We eased up to where they were and of course it broke. Turned Si and Hobo to the race and the dang hog headed straight for a 200 acre alligator infested swamp and bayed again.

We drove around to the levee and got as close as we could to them. I turned my pup out so he could get in on the action. It was a mess, solid saw grass over your head and the dogs ended in about waist deep water in the middle of it. Travis sent his year old AB pup Dally, out of Pee Wee and Tink , she got an ear and was swimming around holding on. My little pup was in there to... he fired right up when he got some pork in his mouth.

We didn't find ol spots, but it was some dang good work and experience for the young dogs.
