Cow Dog Trials Caney Kansas Oct. 25th and 26th. Head dogs only Catahoula-Blackmouth Cur-Lacy. Saturday All Age Dogs-Sunday Derby Dogs (24 mths and younger) There will be a youth event as well on Sunday 16 and under. This trials is very similar to the one that had always been held in Smithvile Oklahoma. This will be the 2nd annual event to be put on here, and last year even though it was very much a last minute affair was quite successful. With more time for planning and sponsorship this years event should be outstanding. For more details call Johnny at 918-440-3246.

I was asked to sell the calcutta last year for this. It was the first one I'd been to, and I had a ball! I've been around head dogs for years but this was the first competion I'd seen. If you get a chance, go. It's a lot of fun with good dogs and better people. I'll be hunting that time or I'd sure be there again.

I attended with K-bar last year. Very good group of guys and some outstanding cow dogs. Sure it will be a great show again.

Thinking about stopping by this event on my way out to Texas this fall. If I was to show up with two Florida bred head dogs, one white and one black and white, would I be able to enter them, or is this event for papered dogs only.

There will be very few, if any, registered dogs there. Any head dogs can enter. Lots of good men and nice people, so I'm sure you'll be welcom.

I hear you John. I should know by the end of next week when I need to be in Texas. Its usually right at Halloween, which would be perfect.
