Circle t I said few post back that you would be stupid to try in open or big country to keep up with a runner on foot there few guys on here that hunt where I do and they run cross the river and creek back and fourth and it is super thick in most areas. That is the main reason for being on foot. Far as bottom I wouldn't say my dog is big bottom but he will go the distance most of the time but he is pretty gritty and fast he has bayed a sounder of 30 plus hogs on several times he can be a knuckle head some times but he pretty solid

Oc knee it's ok to cry bubba now don't get mad and call me on the phone acting like you want a dog box and then saying that your the badest boy in Oklahoma. I was asking a ? Bout your dogs I put nothing in your mouth!! I don't run 8 dogs at a time and if did why would it bother you if your the best ? And why does it take a real dog to run a hog 6 or 10 miles this I don't get. Your plots are probly better at running hogs no biggie. That's why we are all different brother I don't give a rats piss bout what you think or what you think a dog should be period !!!

So does gritty and fast bay a sounder of thirty? I have never seen a sounder of thirty hogs that were runnin and bayed together. This whole post is retarded..lol so what if a dog bays a group? Smiley

Range is over rated to answer the original post.

Once again I never said anything about my "plotts" being better at anything and I damned sure said nothing about me being the best at anything!!!!   Your all tore up because my opinion and the only way you know to combat it is to constantly make me out to be some kind of arrogant know-it-all!!!  Anyone that knows me knows that I am not that way and the fact that you just keep on is really pissing me off.    The fact is, there are usually several dogs in the dog box that have fell out and quit before you get to see a good dog do his thing and separate himself and the owners of them dogs in the dog box may be cool about it but deep down they wish there dog was there at the end too!!!   Now if you don't want to be cool about it then you just ACT like you don't like dogs that have bottom.   Deep down we know what we want and if I don't have it at the time I'm not gonna act like what I have is the way to go.  I've been guilty of feeding junk several times but I knew what I was feeding and didn't try to lie to myself about it.  So run you head all you want but if you had a yard full of dogs that would stay all day and bay hogs that most dogs couldn't I bet you wouldn't use any 22 bullets on them.   Go ahead with your "I like my dogs and they work for me"  BS!!!!    More like "all I have, so I'll make do."    There are people that hunt real fast gritty packs for terrain and limited area reasons but the last few post you made weren't about the quitters you have but about the only dog you have that will stay hooked so I ain't buying your BS!!!   I bet you would feed dogs like I have been describing.    This all got stirred up when LT told about a good dog that a buddy of his owned and you got all butt hurt about a dog that could do great things and started mocking and attacking him for bragging on his friends dog.  Well this is as good a place as any to brag on good dogs as I can think of but it is folks like you that get jealous and start crap.

That ain't what you said on the phone when you said come show me how to run a hog bubba. I was never or never will be jealous of some one with a good dog good for them. And combat what your opinion that's all it is and I can post on here what I think just like you till  they tell me to stop.

I feel outta place here and I wouldn't read this post so much if I was out of town away from family and my pot lickers  but I can bet my check against anyone's that ur long range sure enough dogs  won't catch nearly as many hogs in one night compared to my short range mutts in one night in the areas we hunt doesn't matter where we hunt just know that what works great for one isn't worth a 22 bullet for another some of y'all are pissin in the wind with sandals on lmao pm me if anyone wants to try no one needs to know what happens it'll be a small lesson learned not Everyone has the same kinda hogs or places to hunt so what's a good dog soposed to do again Huh? Find hogs and stop them I think right I could be wrong tho

Alapaha... a good dog will shine like a diamond on a hog farm like that.

What will your dogs do on 8,000 acres of pine plantation that may or may not even have a hog on it? A place where you spend half the day trying to get one started and when you do get ready for a long race. Takes a good dog to bay a hog there... doesn't take a real good dog to bay one when you turn out on a whole herd.
