Been awhile since I dropped in but I got a question for the 21st century hog doggers.  How many of yall ever tried to mount these action cams(kind of like go pros) on the dogs themselves and get footage.  I am going to experiment with it this yr and bounce them from strike dog to RCD and to CD's and see what kind of footage I can see , especially the kind of footage that I might have missed seeing with my own two eyes.  Question is for those of yall who have tried it,, what was some pointers that u found out the hard way.. Any info will help,, like where to mount it on the dog for best view but still be able to stay on the dog in clear cuts and such.  How to get it to stay where u want it too and not rotate to a bad angle and take vid of ground or sky ,, Lord if my grandfather would still be alive for me to tell him what we are now doin to our dogs.

I have seen then mounted on the collars but with the catch dog, it wasn't that good of footage. It it's only second of hog and then the top of the hogs head. Someone had it on a loose bay dog that have a lot more footage of the bay. .

Friends from Sweden have a dog vest that a go pro camera mounts too. The only problem I see with it is there is so much footage of dogs running thru brush that you have to edit. It would probably be much better sneaking into a bay & taking the footage yourself. also, one guy lost a camera off a dog when we were in canada, so they have to be mounted pretty good because they do hit a lot of brush.

I think it would be cool to put a camera on a hog in a bay pen to really see a different angle to watch your dogs

Southern style cut gear offers a cut collar with a mount for a go pro. I have seen video from it that was pretty good but like said on the cd it's brush then short shot of pig then hair. I would love to have one on my RCD.
