Anyone have some ideas what to do or trade options for Dc30 collars that have died on ya? Any companies giving trade in credit or any value left for one?

Also attempting to locate some G2-G3 shocking collar replacement for a Classic system. Most if the stores have discontinued them and do not offer the collars by themselves.

Also any ideas on these would also be appreciated.

Thanks gents

Yep... throw it all in the trash and get you an Alpha!!!

Call Double U and see if they'll take them in on trade.

The Garmin dc-30 you can have rebuilt by garmin & then try to sell.  The shocking system, you can send to collar clinic in Mich. & they will rebuild them. Very good people to deal with.

Well can't do that.  Have three more 30's and two 40's going strong.  Ain't one to give up on a system to quick.  Kept my beep beep for 12 years before I got talked into this 220. Had this one about five or six years and hope it lasts another five.

Have some 40's I can pickup cheap enough. Just wondering if there is anything worth breathing life back into the 30...or trot line weight time.

My G2 classic remote is kicking chicken along with one collar. But other one has been hit to many times by pork chops.

Cajun ....

Is the Collar Clinic under new ownership in the last five or so years that you know of?

Reason I ask is I did a little business with them when they first opened and have never been treated so rudely or been so mad at a company. Sent a old Tri Tronic system in for repair and it came back six times without being fixed correctly.
I am an easy guy to get along with but got into it with those idiots badly.  Never did fix my system correctly but they dang sure kept my money.  Were strait up hateful on the phone.
If its same folks......they still owe me money!

I finally broke down and ordered the alpha myself for the same reasons, my 30's gave out and a couple of 40's are on their last leg. Figured i'd cut my losses

Try academy if they have it in there system at one time they may give a credit on a card for what they had it for. I've heard people doing it and getting a credit. Worth a try.

Cajun I had similar experience with collar clinic   They sure will take your money and send your collar back without fixing it.

Glad you had a good experience with them brotha.  Just be careful if you do have an issue. Don't want to speak badly if the management and owners have changed.....but they will and can turn on ya in a heart beat.

Never leave feedback about service but I did with them on their main page. One hundred percent the truth with times dates and how unprofessional their staff and managers had been.

Had my response taken down within about 10 minutes and received a nasty little email. Posted the same thing along with a copy of the little smart A email again and was taken down within minutes and had a management member call and get biligerant with me.

Was hoping they were forced out if business .....but sounds like they have the market cornered. Lol

Just FYI of how they can and WILL get with you.

Try giving Bob Osborn a call. He is owner and operator of timber creek dog supply. Super guy that's usually up to date and pretty handy with repairs. Quick too. He runs a lot of the tree dog hunts. His number is 662-230-7410. He's in Mississippi.

Charles, from what I have heard I believe they still will but the price to have them rebuilt from what I understand really ain't worth it anymore.

I can believe that justin. They would rather u buy collars that suck or a new system that is outdated in 5yrs, when they bring a new model out

Ok i will start by saying this, i know that no one was asking about the garmin alpha system BUT i received mine this evening after work and after playing with it for the last hour all I can say is wow. I really did not think it would be this user friendly, from charging to setting up to "train" an individual or multiple dogs this thing really is a breeze. Can/could i have made do without it? Absolutely however this is one pretty sweet gizmo, can't wait to try it out this weekend. Ya'll should consider lookin into it a bit more before spending more $$$ on fixing your current broken collars, it is EASY to use and doesnt take much time at all to familiarize yourself with it.

Once again, not tryin to hijack the thread, just thought i would throw my first impression of the alpha out there for what its worth While we are on the subject of tracking/ training collars.
