http://m.ktre.com/ktre/db_330602/contentdetail.htm?contentguid=2MpAdvHb

don't know how much truth there is to this but in case there is truth to it.

WTF!!!!!!

where does whoever, get off thinking that we as texans, and humans don't have a right to hunt?? if I'm not mistaken, i believe in the bible, in the book of genesis it states "GOD created the birds of the sky, fish of the seas and animals of the land, and GOD gave man dominion over them" or phrased similar to that.

why should we need a constitutional right to hunt what GOD gave us the rights as humans to hunt?
im not knocking the the proposal for a constitutional right to hunt, but dang!!! is it coming to this now???

that's a good thing Charles , a lot of other states have done this to actually save hunting rights and from being put on the ballot  by people like the h$u$ in hopes of getting them outlawed .  this takes it from being a privaledge to actually being a constitutionaly  guarantied right . and protected as such .   I'm for it  .

Im for it too, but it shouldnt hav to come to that. And anyways, it could be seen as a constitutionaly protected right already. The first amendment, freedom of religion. By saying we cant hunt, that is saying we cant practice the rights god gave us as humans. I know that it could b a fine line on freedom of religion, but either way, im for the proposal.

Im not much of a law breaker, but i dont "toe the line" on laws either, but ill b damned if they r gonna tell me i cant hunt to put meat in the freezer. They will get 1 warning and i hope they hav a family that wants to see them return home at the end of their shift

And he said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.” But I said, “I have labored in vain; I have spent my strength for nothing and vanity; yet surely my right is with the Lord, and my recompense with my God.” And now the Lord says, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him; and that Israel might be gathered to him— for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God has become my strength—

anyone that can get a constitutional amendment that guarantees hunting in their stae should be dancing a jig for joy. here in california i expect to see an attempt to have an amendment that would ban hunting in the next 15 years. charles i absolutely feel you on this but would you really kill a person who arrested you for hunting and then spend your life in prison and give up your family? it just stinks that others can control what we do that harms no one. same reason i cant understand any hunter who thinks its ok to ban rooster fighting etc.

Gary, My plans ain't to go to prison and ain't to kill any1, but I grew up poor and we lived off the land for the most part and I be damned if I'm gonna sit on my butt and be told I can't put food in the freezer. Where would this country be if our fore fathers sat back and let them filthy Brits continue to rule this country? It takes folks to stand up against tyranny and stop crap like banning hunting/food gathering.

To bad there ain't enough of folks who r willing to put foot to a$$ instead of pen to paper. That saying of the pen is mightier than the sword must not have had to face the end of the sword

But a smart man will tell u coming to arms is a last resort. If u can help insure something with pen and paper u do so. Once u have exhausted options u do as needed.

thats the problem, to much paperwork already and it accomplishes very little, but is more of a headache for everyone. the only good thing paperwork is good for is wiping the 4th point of contact. in the end, taking up arms is what it comes to. look at how this country was formed, a lot of talk and paperwork and in the end, muskets beat the pen. the same for wwi, we, korea, nam, early afghanistan against the russians, iraq both times and afghanistan again but now with us.

I agree. But a man must try first. Now I don't agree with extensive trying but I do believe u must first offer the pen before the sword. Now that don't mean not to have that sword sharp and handy. That's just common sense.

I agree with you shotgun. But how much paperwork must cover us up before we start burning the paper? Must it completely darken us before we say enough is enough? There are law on paper that are not enforced, yet they gov creates a new law to take the place of the existing law that they chose not to enforce and the new law is more sever than the first. Useless paperwork on top of useless paperwork. Diplomacy only work when both parties truely dont want to come to blows or after the blows have come to stop

I agree. To me some lawmakers make laws just to make them. And yes a person has to decide just how far and long they intend to offer the pen. The pen is useless if u are not willing to use the sword. After the sword is used that isn't diplomacy that is concession. Because at that point the defeated is figureing out what it has to give up to stop the beating. In the case of this topic it is in fact merely another source to support ur right to hunt and feed ur family. I understand it's just paper but so was the constitution the bill of rights and the Declaration of Independence. The were merely documents until they were fought for. To me ur constitutional rights are something u should not have to negotiate. If it's a right it's urs. Any attack on it should meet the threat of the sword. If the threat isn't enough unleash it's wrath.

The thing is, our constitutionals are being attacked at times, in form or another either direct or indirect and aint a damn thing been done by the mass of people. A few here n there aint enough to do crap except get the lawmakers stirred up, creating more useless laws. We have these documents u speak of and yaws government are wiping their a$$ with them while the majority of the american people look the other way and say someone else will stop them. The use of sword and the wrath of it and the people is way over due.
I forgot who said it and its wording verbatum, but something of the such as "a revolution every 100yrs is need to maintain a healthly government and country. Again, not exact wording, but close enough to get the point across
