A dog run like a horse walker Cuz if u mean like a pin that is long enough for them to run in number 2 just gives mine more room to get fat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If your talking bulldogs I keep mine on a 65lb toe chain that will keep them in fair shape. Bay dog needs to be hunted to be in hunting shape ten miles ain't much for a modest dog a above average dog twenty miles ain't much. And just don't feed them as much and it will be easy to get in shape just like people

Try making a spring pole...get a garage door spring with a hide or rope on the end and hang it from a tree or wood pole. Or a flirt pole, I use a whip with a hide on the end. Also swimming.

Good old fashioned hand walking goes a long long way as well.

Im gonna try out some of the spring methothds. But i can say from experience that swiming/wading will whip a dog into pretty good shap pretty dang quick. I live right on the river and we do alot of fishing, frog gigging ,limb lining and basket setting. My bulldog always goes with me. And during the summer when were doing all this he looks real good all the time !

Thanks for the replies...I was doing some research on the different keeps for game dogs and thought I might try one to get my bulldog n shape for the hunt. I figure if it worked for some of the greats its worth a shot!

Spring pole to strengthen their core, flirt pole for both explosiveness and muscle condition, and treadmill or a dog walker for stamina.

i live down by the beach, i run them on the beach. I drive the jeep while they chase me. Sometimes they last 2 miles, sometimes they last 7 miles.
