Cheapest and easiest is angle iron, plywood, adel clamps and bolt/nuts. Add a piece of outdoor carpet for traction control for the dog. Plus bolted on, its easier and less time consuming than welded on if u wanna/need to remove it for maintenance.

welded with two pieces of pipe that slide in and put of two bigger pieces of pipe welded to bumper for easy removal. Plywood floor with carpet on top

If im not mistaken, thats a dodge. Maybe they redesigned the rangers for a more trucky look  Grin
Just kiddin. It looks good and prevents them from scratchn the hell out of the hood

I would install 2 hitch reciever tubes  one on each end of bumper/frame.build your deck install with 2 pins.easy on/off and heavy duty.

There was one on here a while back a guy built that was very nice. Pull a couple pins near windshield and the rack folded forward from bumper. Full access of what's under the hood in seconds.
