I read on here awhile back about an older gentleman that made vest that were better suited for hounds. I've searched and looked back through old threads but can't find anything on it.

Have u one custom made. Biggest difference between a catch vest and one u put on a hound is the leg holes. Have them make the leg hole bigger toward the front so the dog can get full reach. I have my vest made like this. It is normally an extra 1.5" higher in the point of the shoulder on leg hole. Doesn't slow the dogs down at all.

Larry parish makes really nice custom vests. Last vest I called and ordered, I spoke to his wife, she knew exactly what some of my measurement would be just from me telling her the width and breed of dog.
(580) 367-2860 to order, I got it pretty quick too

I recently ordered two running vest from Larry for a couple of my plotts. He made the arm holes larger and put a lot of holes with grommets on the bottom to make sure water drained.
