Im just now gettn back in to huntin. And when i started out all my gear was gave to me and as far as d hobbles some where great some was crap..   Do u guys recomend any certain brand or maybe u have some homemade ones you would like to share?

I have used the double flex cuffs for yrs,, I like em better than hobbles.  You can order em from any police supply company.

Hobbles are great don't get me wrong but mule tape is faster stronger and more reliable

i just acquired some 1" ratchet strap tails, anywhere from 5' to 10' in length. gonna try them since they are similar in size to mule tape.

I made my own hobble and leads with 4 strands of 3/16 climbing rope with 1 1/4 in rings whey work really well I hobbled a 343 lb boar with a pair of them

I have to agree, hobbles work good, no doubt but mule tape is more user friendly for me, no worrying about hobbles being to long or too short, just tie em up tight with the tape and be done with it.

Something else that works good is 550 cord I always carry a roll of it has many great uses  just as 100 mile an hr tape lol

Ya those are nice the best set I have and have seen was made by Larry at pnp but mule tape is stronger faster and will not slip off if tied right. And the biggest thing for me is my boy can tie one of most any size in few seconds in stead of dilly dallying with hobbles but hobbles are handy
