How do yall laws currently stand? Here in Ga. We have to get a permit through the department of agriculture to transport. We have to have any holding facility inspected and approved for feral hog "holding". It's all free. The only thing that costs is having the vet do blood work. Is this what yall have to do ?

Currently as it stands in LA we can transport and pen them with no regulations. They are trying to make it illegal to transport.

The deer hunters are pushing for this law harder then any farmer it seems like. Same thing they've done with deer hunting with dogs. They've about got it where we can deer hunt with dogs in LA anymore, so they're moving on to the hogs now.

Charles we can't do squat without a permit. Johnny law says they have to be dead if you want to haul them without a permit. Some people I know will argue the fact. But I know better. I have the permit and I also know the game warden for my area. Trust me when I say I don't have the permit for show and tell...lol.

Here in okla to transport them live and hold them for up to 7 days you have to have a transporting licenses to keep them beyond that you have to have a handling facility licenses and be inspected and cost 300 annually. 300 bucks is awfull expensive to keep a hog to train pups and feed out.
