Im sure a few of you will love a couple of these pictures due to the brindle plague that crept in......i blame it on the rain Grin

Amyhow both litters hit the ground and luckily i have only lost one pup out of 13. The remaining 12 are all doing great and are growin almost as fast as the grass!

This litter is out of camo (from djhogdoggers) and granny (littermate to my smoke dog that past away, from mr. Witherspoon)

And this is the litter out of zoey (from mr. Witherspoon) and smokes son skeeter.

Better picture of zoey

Grannys pups are 4 weeks today and zoeys will be 4 weeks on thursday. The time is draggin on for me now, cant wait until they 10-12weeks old to show em their first pig and get this process started!

I've had a couple people message me regarding these pups due to my original post, as of now the couple that i am going to let go of are already spoken for. Not trying to sell any, just want to show em off now that they are on the ground. I plan on keeping and raising 8 and eventually culling down as needed/necessary.

Thanks for lookin and happy huntin!

I figured you would like that Mike hahaha. Hey as long as they hunt like their daddy and momma I'll be happy.....can't say I ever had anything against a brindle dog just never got my hands on one I really took an honest liking to up until I got camo from Mr. James and Mrs. Dinah. I know one thing is for sure, they have the best blood ive ever owned running thru em........time will tell if they follow in their parent footsteps, if they do I will be in high cotton! I hope to have em up and runnin like a herd o' turtles by the end of deer season Grin

A couple different reasons to be entirely honest. for one, i have a good buddy that had been on me about him for quite a while. Also i have some real promising young dogs coming up (1 being closely related to him) plus camo is right down the roadanytime i need him. AND last but not least, i truely really enjoy working with puppies....when i had 6 grown dogs it was hard to leave them at home and tote pups instead but also it got hard to get them all the woods time they needed. My smoke dog died, i sold camo and bonnie, and zoey is too broke down to hunt anymore but is a hell of a momma dog. I kept a couple older dogs to help get these youngsters goin though.........i guess you could say i forced myself to get these youngsters in the woods....... may not have been the smartest way to go about it lol but I like my odds with these youngsters.

Over a year later update!

Ok so i gave out 1/2 of the pups to close friends, i ended up keeping a yellow male out of the camo x granny cross and my buddy ended up with 2 brindle males. We decided to make a quick run with just these three youg dogs and a bulldog. They did far better then we thought they would. They lost one after a 1/2 mile race to a flooded gully. Dropped em again and they ran one for 35-40 mins aand got it stopped..... it took us a while to get there and when we shut off the buggy we could hear the hog squealing. Ended up being a 55-60lb boar. Walked out to the buggy, loaded em up and headed home, start to finish 2.5hrs. Very pleased so far.

Good looking group you got there. I'm going color blind on my yard. Shades of black and white on my curs. Only different ones are my old man cur and my 2 cds. Picked up this looker a month ago

Those are some good looking pups. Always been partial to a brindle dog but the truth is, a good hog dog does not have a bad color.
