I have it programmed to record...

something I would like to see on these dog hunting shows is a close up and some detail on one good dog...how he hunts and the bloodlines etc...should be a part of every show...

I agree Reuben even hog dog videos I have watched show nothing of the hunt just a bay and cutting a catch dog.I would like to hear a story on the dogs that found the hogs, show the dog ,tell about the blood lines and how they hunt, show the garmins during the race.

Good info. Everything we did will be on a real hunt. Nothing staged, nothing released.  I requested a few things I would like to see make the editing...but unfortunately I do not get a final say on how the show is edited or spun. This is filmed by hunters and the editors are hunters. Gary Robertson the shows host, is one of the most knowledgeable dog people I know.

I asked to show a lot of my main two strike dogs...how they are ranging and how they are rolling out after a caught hog. Not sure how they will get portrayed on the show. I didnt think to talk about how they were bred. Id like a short intro on each dog.

Hopefully we will do a few more shows and that is something they will do. Thanks for the comments!

Just curious did you get paid for this ? I always wondered what kind of $$ was in doing these hunting shows.

Good job bud. Watched it last night. I enjoyed it. Looks like your dogs were hunting good and ranging out pretty good... The host did a good job of explaining what was happening, and why. Very well portrayed the lifestyle... I'd say you got it pretty made being in that business... That would spoil us on foot hunters really quick being able to ride 1.2 miles to a bay... Lol good luck with it all man and congrats.

No money in this business.  Just for fun. Show owners make their money from sponsorships. Many do not make money or it takes years to build before they do.

Thanks Ryan. Thought they edited it well. Do agree...maybe next time we can talk more on the dogs, their breeding and how they are working.

Thanks so much for the kind words.  Rex and his dogs did a great job.  For the first show, we thought that we should try to explain what is happening to the viewer that has not hunted.  (Carnivore reaches over a million households so this was the introduction to hog hunting to many of them).  We preach that the hunter should show respect to the animal and love for his dogs.  I will not show graphic kills as we try to project hunting in a very fun but positive light.  I think that all of us agree that we would love to see more folks involved in hunting and we feel that this approach may bring some on board.  (If they don't get involved, perhaps they will be more understanding of us that do).
Thanks again and Adios,
Gary
