By far the dumbest terms I've ever heard. Either you got a hog dog or you just got a dog.

don't line breed or inbreed because the pups will be born crazy/off their rocker...etc...I used to here it quite a bit back in the 1970's and 1980's...

If it takes more than one dog you only got half a dog, which kind of makes sense. Cheesy
the other was my dog broke his jaw and is now has a undershot bite will he pass this on to his pups?

Since I have been hunting hogs with dogs I have met some really smart dog men and I have also met some of the most ignorant people in the world. One in particular that seems to dream up these facts that I thought I'd share with all of you. He was the first person that I hunted with and these are some of things he told me.

A dog cannot smell when the humidity is high because a dog actually smells with their tongue and when its humid out it dries out there tongue.

A female dog will die if she gets in water while she's in heat because her euteris turns upside down to hold sperm and if swamp water gets in her euteris it will hold it like a cup causing an infection thus killing the dog.

It's OK for a dog to trash armadillos because they smell just like a pig.

Thats some of the funniest stuff ive ever heard on this site!!! I dont recall ever hearing anything like this......... hope that doesnt mean im the one saying it! LOL (:
Never let your dog drink to much water while hunting they will cramp up.

Oh Man!!! that is some funny stuff there, Ive never heard anything like that! I would keep hunting with that guy just for the laughs (:

If a female dog gets cut all the male dogs will think she's in heat and fight.

I'm sure some more will come to me but I couldn't hold them in anymore let's hear some dumb sh@t you've heard.

If u run a hog to hard he will start to run on his tip toes and won't leave any scent. They why the dogs lost him. Them old smart hogs do it even faster. After a few hundred yards.

Don't feed a dog for 2 days prior to hunt so they hunt harder.

Then the old standard. My dogs never trash.

6 week pups strike dogs. Stock broke.

I say long range is mile plus                                              On the starving thing my buddy says that not only are his dogs severely over weight then he don't feed em before they hunt I told him that's why they are so trashy lol

I heard a guy say

"White catch dogs will break a bay because the hog will see them coming...so use black catch dogs"

And

"You can train a dog to not cross any rivers, then you won't have to swim....." (But that was in a coon dog conversation....)

This and the "open dogs push hogs outta the country" is the biggest lines of crap I've ever heard.

cutting the ear off a dog works for (insert problem here - heatstroke, snake bite etc etc) pure garbage

If you feed a dog kangaroo it will start chasing them
