Ive never ran plots before or been around the breed very much until just recently. My hunting partner just got him a plott female and I like her quite a bit. I'm looking to get my hands on a couple male pups but don't know which lines to look for. I'm wanting a rougher cold nosed hound with lots of bottom. Don't really care much about it being open or silent. Any information about the breed is appreciated. Thanks

Yea before I posted I tried to read as many previous plott posts as I could but they were some time ago, was gonna see if there were any new lines that have become prominent lately. I'm hoping to find some good ones that way I won't have to buy any more dogs and I'll know exactly what I have. I'm not much into the dog trading, I'd like to make me a sure nuff good line that I can keep breeding

If you want a plott on the rougher side get you a bayou cajun plott from cajun on here. Real good guy too, I was thinking about getting a plott too and he answered all of my dumb questions very nicely.

Call me and I will give you his numbers. He does not have any pups for sale now, but maybe a litter in the near future. Juan 870260800-

I bought a plot a few years back from a guy up the road, he got her from a man named Greg Noah I think was his name in Ragland Alabama. The dog is pretty nice she has as much bottom as any one man could want, and will rig off my four wheeler and has a lot of sense, she's not ruff though. I don't know the Greg man so I'm not promoting his dogs just speaking of the one I have, you might could look him up some how and see what he says

I remember seeing Greg Noah's adds all the time for sale, for years he advertised in bayed solid, must've been something right, look up rawhide ridge on here, good friend of mine, don't know how often he gets on but he got Orval Roberts dogs when Mr. Roberts passed away.

I know this may sound like a silly question, but if your hunting partner just got one you like a lot could you not get one from the same place?

He picked it up in a trade, I've actually gotten ahold of two males and a female out of a hicks bred male and a bayou bred female. There about 3 months old now, will post some pictures of here when I get a chance
