Black streak...I don't think anyone hired you to be the authority on here to decide who is right or wrong and it really isn't your business...then you start insinuating about others as being ignorant and you never come out and say it but as you go on and on it sounds like you are trying your best to belittle them...

Now your latest negative thought process includes people that repeat themselves...is rather annoying to you...maybe you haven't noticed but people come and go so at times subjects repeat themselves and usually with quite a few different folks...

I will give you this bit of advice...discuss the subject on even something slightly different if you feel like it pertains and leave it at that and quit making negative comments about the other members on here...let the reader decide on what is right or wrong...besides there are more than one way to skin a cat if you know what I mean...

Maybe you are not capable of doing so...but it is not a good reason...

I'm not asserting myself as THE authority of what's not exactly true on here.    I'm saying I wished more of the guys that are very successful with their styles and types of dogs would call others out that make bogus and false claims or that contradict themsleves by  saying one thing and doing another or by being hypictical.   Such has been done to you so elegantly these past couple days.  Lol priceless
Those like you who preach on this but do that or that just should be shown for what your are

You can choose the words as you like and make them fit to try and put down folks says a whole lot about...as I already mentioned it wasn't how I originally planned it...just made the best of it...

And I had already mentioned it several times in the past...and like I said before...my beliefs in breeding methods are always the same...

I see a lot of successful guys calling others out or explaining themselves in a way I understand.  But then there is you (Black Streak) - the know it all; seems to me that when guys don't do it your way- you respond with a book long response that is aimed at proving others wrong.

When you keep having negative responses to your posts, maybe you should step back and ask yourself why.

You just mad because you  I come along behind you and said before you tell a man his dog is a cull for being inconsistent, age and breed or dog should be known.      I explained why this is so and it hurt your pride and understandably so.   If I had made a mistake like that I'd be imbarrassed too.
Secondly the only people that have give me any grief are the people like you who are prideful but insecure.  Your intimidated by people that explain things in detail that you can not.
The guys on here that I have never seen reason to question  have never done so with me either or have questioned me  and as a result have become good friends with because they aren't so conceded  and intimidated to look outside what they were accustomed to or didn't think was practical here.
You tried to paint a good picture supporting yourself but you analyzed it poorly or intentionally wrong because of your pride

Did you know embarrassed is spelled with an e not an I smart guy?  Trust me...I'm not mad, and I was right from the first time I posted on that dog being a cull.  Catch dog quit catching is all I needed to read to know it was a cull.   Reading anything else was a waste of my time.  Just like reading your posts is a waste.

I don't read all your BS; I just follow your replies from time to time to see who you are butting heads with.  I'm thinking of starting a thread topic of Black Streak.  I'm interested in knowing how many thumbs up you get or how many middle fingers you get.

If you don't read what I say then you have no right to argue it.  How can you intelligently argue something you haven't read.  That's pretty much my point and thanks for furthering my point.
To back your claim up with that catch dog you didn't know anything about before you told the man his dog he was a cull you made an analogy about you being a welder and how you had a job to do.   You made yourself out to be as good a welder on day one as you was 3 years into it.  No you were not!        Furthermore it seems like you care not to examine problems from a dogs perspective, only your own.   To have a fundamental understanding of how dogs especially working dogs process things is nothing but benificial to guys like us.   Not all breeds and crosses of them are the same.  Not a lot is explained about dog physiology on here.
As far as your idea about a pole about me goes, well that's just funny and shows I'm deeply embedded under your skin.  You have even resulted to pointing out a spelling error.  Hahaha.   You got it bad!         Go ahead with your pole though if it makes you feel better.  Might be even more depressing for you though lol

Looks like a well trained dog- what do you think Black Streak?

I bet he has been on many longs walks through town....probably started on a short leash and then progressed to a longer leash.

Would you care to tell us what you think the owner of this dog is doing wrong?

I bet he listens very well.

Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt... I don't understand why the few of you on here can't take good constructive conversation for what it is, rather than try to make a mockery of someone else because they question you on your thesis or train of thought. Seems like with a few of you lately when the time to choose whether you go run your dogs or run your mouth comes along, it's very obvious the choice your making and it's rather pitiful.

No point in arguing with you. One person makes a point then you reply with a 10 page thesis of nonsense.

Im not gonna waste any more time bickering with you. To be honest until you started writing insanely long replies to simple questions i have absolutely zeri issue with you, hell even when you were writing long drawn out responses i had no issue until you started throwing condescending remarks in the responses fir no reason. I honestly enjoy reading about your finder/holders, not many folks use dogs like that including myself but its still interesting. I simply disagree with you making anide remarks to people on here for no reason. And the whole intelligence thing really cracks me up. Anyway, have a good one, wish you nothing but the best with your dogs. Im out.

I know this old but I thought I would chime in since I've always raised my dogs from pups. I take them to controlled environment and tie a pig up to a tree. I'll get the young dogs and walk them right to the hog and see what happens. If they don't do anything i'll mess with pig to try and gets the pups fired up. If they still don't do anything (which they should) I'll get an older dog to start baying and usually the younger ones fall in. I do it this way to see which ones have the want to right off the bat because the dogs either have it or they don't.  After a couple times of this I take them to the woods. At first I haul them and turn them to the older dogs when they strike so they are not running around trashing. I don't trash break them till I know they like hogs. Once they are going to the bays good and I like what I see I'll put them on the ground and then start the trash breaking. After that you just need to try and feed him hogs and the rest is up to them.

Can I ask why y'all turn them into bays first? I just ask because I've never done it much. I usually show the pups a penned hog a few times, then do a mock hunt or go to Doug Mason's place and see if they'll find a pig on their own in his pasture. If they atleast give it hell, I start carrying 1 or 2 at a time to the woods and hunt them with the big dogs, if they.m trash they get made aware that I am unhappy. I do not attempt to trash break until they know good and well what a hog is.. Granted I haven't raised but maybe 5-6 pups all the way up,
but this is how I did it with them
