Anyone had any dealings with a dog that had lymphoma? I got a male dog that's 5 yrs old and all of a sudden his lymph nodes all over his body swoll up real bad. Brought him to the vet and they said they are pretty sure it's lymphoma but took a sample and I'm waiting on the results.

Maybe it is an infection and antibiotics will cure it...keep us posted...

Had a hunting partners main dog, great dog, die of it a couple years ago. He was quite a bit older. Was a quick progression. Nodes in neck was size of lemons, maybe satsumas. Though deal...

My step-dad is a vet and several years ago he had a dog less than a year old that was eat up with cancer (I can't remember what type of cancer). Being that the dog was so young he did alot of research to figure out why this dog was in the condition it was in at such a young age. One article he found was about 2-4-D weed killer causing cancer in dogs. When he mentioned that to the dog's owner, the owner said he had a lawn service and used 2-4-D around his yard.

After telling my friends about this, one buddy had lost his dog to cancer at a young age and he used 2-4-D around his dog run.

I will try to find the article and shared it...... but meanwhile I would be very careful with any weed / grass killer in or around dogs.

Well got the results from the vet today and it is Lymphoma. Tough deal man. Lost my #1 dog a 10 yr old gyp 3 weeks ago to a bad boar hog and now it seems to be the end of the road for my #2 dog.

Bright side is I bred him and the gyp that just got killed and I've got 4 of their pups starting up right now. Hopefully they can turn out to be decent dogs for me.

Tough month for sure.

Well had to put him down last week. Took hold to him fast and basically just sucked him down.

That's how Stan went. Meds were used and were expensive to my knowledge, but still quick and inevitable. Sorry for your loss beother
