Yall ever dealt with this fella? I tell ya what , I've got a dog that's ate up with his bloodlines and this dog is hog crazy. High drive, real smart well built and had impressed me since he was a puppy. I called and talked to David for well over an hour today just to tell him about this dog. He was glad I did. I don't know this man from Adams house cat but we talked dogs for a long time and I sure appreciate someone like him that's willing to share there knowledge with me. He's alot older than me and is a "breeder " but he don't breed a turd to a turd hoping to get a gold nugget. He is a cattle man and works his dogs. He breeds good dogs to good dogs and it sure does show. I just thought I'd post this to further share my appreciation for folks that breed to improve and keep working dogs working. This dog I got is still young but he has been a dandy for quite a while now. He listens extremely well and absolutely loves to use his nose. He will push a track like nobody's buisness. To give you an Idea of how well he listens less than a month ago I was asking for tips on here on how to tone train my dogs. Last week I toned him back from a half mile out. Probably sounds silly but this dog learns fast. He aims to please every time we're out , and it sure is a pleasure to have a dog of this caliber.

It's a good feeling seeing a pup you've raised come into his own, honestly over the years when I would get discouraged and want to hang it up there would always be a dog or pup come along that would change my mind. It's another satisfying feeling knowing all the pieces of the puzzle and who helped cut them out.

I bought a pup from Dave and she was by far the best pup I ever started. She had a lot of go in her and hunted deep. Her first hunt she was hunting anywhere from 700 yrds to 1000 yrds. She hunted like that every time which was her downfall because of my bad handling. Instead of doing like I normally do which is haul her around and send her to the bays, I hunted her on the ground in country which didn't have hardly any hogs. So since there wasn't any hogs she was real trashy and I keep burning her up with the shock collar. I broke her real quick but in turn she quit hunting. So now she wont get out of eye distance from me. I bred her back to one of his studs and the pups I keep I culled them all. He said the pups he kept were some good ones. I guess that's the way it goes sometimes.

Thanks rednose. Slim if your reading this....remember a while back when I told you if you could get a dog to Texas I had a young one I'd give you....this is him.  We almost quit hunting a while ago due to personal reasons and I wanted this dog to go to someone who would work the paws off of him....He was turning on real good back then. I'm glad he's still here now. I picked up new spots and finally got the finances straight.

Glad he's working for yah buddy. We got a couple young dogs were focusing on as well. Took rooster whose about 20 months or so. And pancho whose 7 months last night. Busted a group and we got a little pocket pig. Idk what roosters deal was but he wouldn't roll for jack. Kicked out this morning and he burned it down and out struck everything. Dang dogs
