Got a call from a guy wanting a little help with the hogs on his place. He claimed to be ate up with hogs to the point where it was causing some big time crop damage.  Well we load up a couple of dogs and hit the road at 3 a.m. we cut loose at daylight and by mid afternoon still hadn't put hands on a single hog. My wife and I were wore slap out. It was pushing 2 o'clock and the only thing we had killed was a rattlesnake. The land owner asked if we'd hit one more spot for him. We ride around to the other side of the property and dump the dogs on fresh sign.  At this point I'm hoping like hell to get on something.  I feel like the land owner probably thinks I don't have a clue what I'm doing.  Well sure enough the dogs make a couple of loops and then stretch way out. We loose signal on the garmin at 900. Head that direction and pick them up treed at well over a mile when we got on top of the hill. Jump in the truck and high tail it toward them. Wouldn't you know they decide to break again. There heading in the direction we just came from so we decide to cut them off and call it a day. At this point the dogs had been running hard all day and couldn't seem to get this one shut down. We simply thought the dogs were tired and couldn't keep up with the hogs. We get back to the edge of the wheat field and are watching the dogs come at us on the GPS . All of a sudden out comes a sounder of 25 or 30. When they came out in the field we intercepted them with the bulldog and a fresh set of legs. All hell broke loose. My bulldog went and locked down the bigger one in the picture. The smaller one decided to turn around and head away from us  (back toward the dogs) and she was a caught hog as soon as she made that decision.

Thanks mike. I'll post up a few more pictures.  There's some wheat fields down here that you can't see the other side of.
