It's hard to make that call. I don't know what all happened and why the guys are so hot about it. I've had dog's ran over before but who's to say the dogs didn't shoot out in front of the vehicle.  On another note,  we were hunting last week and we heard a 'BOOM' sound. I asked the land owner what that was and he said it sounded like a wreck. The dogs were 5 or 600 yards away from us and within 100 yards of the road. When we got back to the house the guys that were there said that a deer had came out in the road in front of a truck. It went slap through a windshield and hurt someone.  No way to know for sure but I think the dogs kicked it up and out into the road. Now a 750,000 hog dog....I don't know about that one.....

Had two dogs get hit not long ago chasing a hog across a highway, both died but I am not trying to make money off of it. It wasn't the drivers fault a hog went across the road with a dog behind it. Greedy people trying to get free money.  Sad for the dogs

I've always been afraid of my dogs getting hit on road. First because I don't want to lose my dogs to a car, but also afraid of getting sued for damage or injury to a person.

Funny I bet if that diver missed the dogs drove off the road n hit a tree n got hurt the "prized dogs" owners would be no where to be found number 2 me and Mike just almost had this problem with my bull dog if she got hit the owner of the dog (me) would have just waited till they left got my dog with her still good vest n went home but thankfully she didn't get hit n we got her back

I think this is ridiculous and is going to hurt the image of dog hunters in the state of Arkansas more than its going to help, there's a big line in being fairly compensated for something and just ignorant greed, this is nothing more than a display of greed, i completely understand that there's way to much senseless killing of hunting dogs that the Law does nothing about, I could see this happening if the dogs were shot or killed some other way but animals get hit on the road everyday and 90% the drivers don't say "oh look a dog, I'm going to hit it".

X2...well said...the first thing that came to mind is that there could be repercussions...like a law that won't allow hunting with dogs next to a hi way or county road...these boys need to suck it up and not draw attention to themselves...it is just part of the game if you choose to run dogs next to a busy road...the lawsuit would be much easier for the trucker to file in my opinion ...such as if the dogs had not been chasing a hog the truck would not of been struck by a hog and dogs...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
