I have a gyp that went through her last cycle in February and ever since hasn't been the same dog.Her tits are swollen and saggy (really saggy), she isn't nearly as defined in her muscle tone and she even hunts different.I worm regularly, she's on comfortis for fleas, ivermectin once a month for heart worm prevention, I feed Victor dog food and she gets hunted regularly.Prior to her last heat her tits were drawn tight and she had a lot of muscle definition and a ton of hunt.

It's more then likely a hormone issue I have to gyps mother and daughter that have it the only thing that will solve the problem is to get them fixed. It is very hard on the dog basically the dog is having a nonstop cycle.

If she were mine, I would get a complete blood work done and make sure they check the thyroids. That should tell exactly what is going on.

Most of what I've read says this will go away on it's own but it could happen again. If it does than I guess spaying is the only option. It's been a real pain in the butt and has completely changed her as a dog I just hope she come back round to what she was prior to this.
