I owned a Jag terrier which is just a JRT that is black and brown. I have also hunted JRTs before.

They have no fear and will jump on anything. If you hunt in a place with a lot of green briars and berry vines they are especially good.

They are always good for a laugh on any hunt. Until you hunt one you will not believe what they can do.

i dont hunt my little female jrt because she is our house dog and pet BUT I do use her to start all my curr pups on hogs and i have had 100% success on starting my pups the past 3yrs using her to get them fired up. She will bay the hair off a hog and my pups all naturally follow her around and do as she does. She is an awesome all around dog, squirrel hunts, blood trails, etc etc. She has found hogs while riding around at the lease with me but I always call her off of them so that she doesnt get hurt.

An older man that lives close to me uses his to hog hunt, I posted in dogs on hogs about back in the early spring about a solo hunt he made with 2 of his jrts, they found and bayed a 320lb barr hog that he shot over em. We went to help him get the hog out of the woods. It was pretty cool to see a hog of that size bayed by 2 20lb jrts and shot by a 70yr old man. No doubt they can do the job.

There's an Australian guy who crossed his with a stag. (StagRussells) Catches foxes with them and says he'll be trying them on pigs.
