now days we skin ...but this winter I am gonna try and scald a  few ....nothing like it on a real cold day ....

Those are some fine looking hogs. I remember when I was a boy, my dad and uncle and cousins doing this... Miss those days

Nice picture, we've got a bunch put up somewhere I'll try to find them and post a few. My grandpa wouldn't do anything but scald a hog, lol times have change for sure.

southwest ... 20 miles north of lake Charles i live on the Calcasieu river bottom....  and about 50 miles from east texas line .....
