Since Kai got this one started, I'll jump in with a few. Wife and I just got back from visiting family and friends in Hawaii.

Took a ride around the island (Oahu)

This is overlooking a golf course where we were exiting the mountains we hunted

The city of Honolulu

The ridge trail on top, you can judge for yourself how steep it is.

Down in the bottom, we got a little wet that day.

You've seen the ones I sent you, but they aren't mine so I prefer not to post them up. Out of respect.

I am, but only a private in fixed and rotary wing. Will be working on my instrument and commercial this fall/winter. But im a mech on that big whirly bird. Follow it around the country chasing the wildfires. They are talking bout sending 1 or both of our tanked machines to australia. If thats the case, ill offload them from the boat, put them together, get the test flight done and come home. Tobacco tax is outragious, id rather go back to afghanistan than go to australia.

Cajun, thanks.

Charles, I've been choking on smoke from the fires around the LA/SanBernadino area all summer. Get your butt out here and out those things out.

The Grand Canyon pics are bad ass

i know what you mean. the show low fire was bad, we dealt with ash continuously, even during maintenance. i think that was the worst of the smoke and ash for all the fires we have been on. as for putting the cali fires out, i think we have a couple ships down there dropping water, but I'm not 100% sure. i figure with all the fires there, we would have already been there, especially since we are a tanked a/c, but we still have our restricted class going against us. being restricted means we can't fly over densely populated ares, which it seems some of the areas on fire are densely populated. until cal-fir calls for us, we will bounce from state to state like a cheap $2 dollar whore on .50c night. good luck to ya and hopefully the fires stay away from ya.

Man you may think that now but unless you have been and spent time there I wouldnt be so sure. Australia is the downright prettiest/nicest place ive ever been. Amazing scenery, i would love to go back and stay for 4-6months just to soak it all in some day.

This shot is from my backyard about four years ago. These hills around here burn every year.

Well justin, you can just right back over there and take my place. Any of the guys going to png have to fly into sidney and most have no use for it, especially their customs. You can that british penal colony, ill stay stateside or go back to the sand box if i have a choice.
