hey mike I hunted one time around hockley north of Houston ...there was a lot of hogs around the corn fields but man the fences (cow pastures) back then i didn't have many hogs  here so I hunted strait track  and cast dogs long range and  man they picked up where some hogs come out of a corn field and was miles across them fields...I didn't think we would ever get them back ....

Larry, I've got around 11,000 acres I hunt over there from March thru August... corn, rice and miles of prairie. I love getting out of these piney woods and hunting that prairie country.

There is a forum on "hog dogs" section that says "this years prospects" or something like that you should check out.

Thanks I'll let y'all know by next September if they were worth feeding. Their out of two real good dogs, hopefully they picked up some good traits from their parents.

What image sharing site are y'all using these days? Photobucket is so full of ads and virus I can't get it to open these days.

half pit, half cat. Bred by Doug mason. Right at a year old. Hung his first hog in the big woods today. Had it under control before our deal closer got there.

Plott dog I call ranger. Struck that hog today, first hunt with me and his first strike. Soon as he proves himself he's going to Bryan tx to help a young kid start catching hogs.
littermates sisters. Tipsy and rose. If breeding is what it should be. Should make some hands on the hood.
