Had been gettin hit pretty good at my deer feeders. Said screw it.
Made time after work and took my young male goofy, brought my good gyp cassi for the just in case, and met up with a good buddy and he brought his young pups in.
Pulled up and parked about 700-800 yards away from my feeder. Casted goofy and my buddies pups. Cracked a cold one and didn't even get half way threw the first one, goofy was already climbin. 200,300,400, 500 let cassi out and she took same track he did. Goof sounded his locater bawl at about 730-740 and a rally went off. Cassi got to him soon after to help finish out one, and they fell bayed. Two young pups of my buddies got there and it was the nicest bay i herd in bout 4 months.
I was very pleased with goofy, I let him take it solo and he done fine just sent cassi to help seal the deal. Just trying to get finished hogs under his belt.
Drove the scooter I'd say a 100 yards away. Pulled the 2 catchdog out and they were shakin, they were pumped!! Got 86ft away and sent them in. Come to find out, there was 2 more his size in there all bayed, they slipped out tho. Will be back.
Had a damn good night! Sure missed it!
Dogs took some cuts but should heal up fine!

Sounds like a great hunt and your young dog did well. What kind of dog is Goof?

He's a cat. On the blockier side and a hair ruff. All black. If he keeps up, I plan to eventually take him to my cassi dog. I think I'd be set.

Art knows a good dog. That cassi gyp is pretty nice. Travels real well. Loose as they come(though we caught out on that sow that day art lol) sounds like goof is gonna make another good one.

Thanks guys! So far goof has been pretty good! I've got that itch about him. Slim thanks man! I try my best with what I've had to work with through the years. But I feel the best is still coming up! Everything is tight bred, and the best is still yet to come once I pick what I want to cross up.

I'll keep you guys posted on my newest pups I've raised up this year. 3/4 cracker dog 1/4 walker. That boar is In a pin with 3 other boars. My pups are going on5 months yet and they snuck in the pin through the bull panel yesterday and we're spinning him around like a top! I was ear to ears smiling. Already showing teeth on a hog. It's crazy!
