You might actually come out better using the other male, in my case just about all my dogs go back to a certain cross that was made 13 years ago, the only male alive outa that litter is mine and when I got my hands on him he had never been hog hunted, only used to pen cows, I hunted him once or twice and saw enough I liked and bred him and have been more than satisfied, he had a full brother to him that was a wayyyy better hog dog than him but had been hunted most of his life, he never produced anything that I was impressed with, I've got pups off of two of his full brothers that are way better than anything he produced and grandpups off his littermate sister and some off his half brother that are all nice dogs, the old dog ranger was the best hog dog out of the bunch hands down but wasn't the best in the brood pen at all...
