Have a black and tan cur dog. He is a male about 3 & 1/2- 4 years old. He is pretty much a straight catchdog. I have used him as a lead in and caught many big hogs behind him, I trust him on the ear as much as a bulldog. He does have a great nose and will find his own hog if you let him. But he does have his downfalls- he is super trashy, loves a skunk. And is very aggressive towards other males. Because of that I don't hunt him like he needs to be. He wouldn't fit just any set of dogs, and it will take some work to break him of his couple of bad habits, but you will catch pigs behind him.
