Has anybody else have any experience with the Cat/do mix.  I was given one a year ago, a two yr. old male with limited hunting experience.  He is turning into one fine dog.  He is big, with the head of a dogo, a white coat with spots and weighs 100lbs even. I got him as a potential catch dog, but he is turning out to be way more than that.  He has a great nose, better than or as good as the curr dogs he is running with and more often than not is the pack hog locator.  Of course he handles the catching activities as well.  Just a jammed up dog in general.  Recently I was delayed getting to a bay which was delayed by water obstruction (had to go get a boat).  When I finally arrived, the dogs had killed a 130 lb. ish boar.  I have no doubt he was the main instrument of death, the boar left some marks on him as well.  The boar in the photo is a different animal.

Some catch, some bay and some are bay busters haha. It's always a toss up when you cross a cur/hound over a bulldog.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
