I'll be putting everything together and heading for Texas in 2 weeks. I have the new place comfortable enuff for the wife to hold things down while I'm gone. Time to get after some hogs. I will be bringing Gus again and the new prospect catchdog Darlin. She gives me some good indications that she will become a decent catchdog. She's pretty smart and just turned a year. She weighs in at 50# and is built to move. Hopin for a good month of hunting! Don't catch them all before I get there!

Yup, I do plan on being in Georgetown for that show. I plan on donating the knife I made for myself last year for the ADBA Scholarship fund.  Those have been pretty good raffles. Slim, if we run outta hogs in Milam County I'll head on over. Thanks for the offer!

I didnt make it up there this winter and with the crappy weather and im glad i didnt drive up there for chits n grins. Maybe we can link up n talk unlike the last time when we were both on a time clock.

Thanks Charles, I am always concerned about the roads this time of year. I will be rolling in my Ranger instead of the Superduty. If it is real bad I may have to adjust the route but hopefully not. I will be down till early March, I would enjoy jawin with you. It has been the busiest year of my life. I am looking forward to some huntin and spending time in Texas.

When we left florida in early dec, i wanted to take the north route to keep from going through commifornia but with the weather like it was and 84 closed between boise and la grande, i figured if i balled $200,000 in equipment, i wouldnt have a job when i got back.

Well, this trip hit a snag in Eastern OR.  6 semi's tangled between La Grand and Baker City and there are no good alternative routes so I spend the night here. Dang it, but since there are no hogs left maybe I should just turn around.
