Looking to get people's ways of raising pups.

What brand wormer do you use for your pups?
What age do you start worming your pups?
What age you start getting them to start eating puppy food?
What brand puppy food have gave you the best results?
What age you start giving your shots and how often?

I know everyone has there own way or method just wanting to look at other people's ways and ideas on raising pups.  thanks

I rotate wormers. Start at 2 weeks old and worm them once a week. I usually start them on soaked kibble and powdered goats milk at 4 weeks and wean them at 5-6 weeks. They get neopar at 4 weeks and a 5 way at 6 weeks. Then alternate those vaccines every 2 weeks until 12 weeks old

To me, the most important thing is what you do before the pups are born. I wormed my females at the first sign of heat and give them a 9 way three weeks after they are bred. I also started them on pet-cal tablets one a day until pups are born, then 2 or 3 a day until the pups are weaned. I never gave puppy shots until the pups were off the female at least a week but 2 weeks is better. this will give you better immunity. I have never had a pup or dog get any disease that is vaccinated for since I started doing it this way for at least 25 years.

I put 20 cc liquid ivomec in a 500 cc bottle of valbazen (about 100 total and will last 5 dogs 5 yrs) give 3-6 cc works on 90% of worms including heart, a good vet told me about that and has worked well. If it doesn't get the rare worms panacur from a TS type place will.

A great holistic cheap wormer is food grade DME, no toxicity and is my staple personally.

I have not vaccinated in 12 yrs and never had a problem, you can find great info at leerburg.com as to why, but i dont vaccinate my kids etc so to each there own...

My bred females were not wormy to start with but I always worm them with the above mentioned while the pups are nursing and thats always kept the pups clear
