Quick afternoon hunt

Big e wanted to go hunting this afternoon so me and Marshall met him over at little place by the house. I cut loose from the truck at 4 and they made a loop through the hay field and got some tracks from the night before. They crossed the county road split bayed at 800 yards. Walked in and caught 2 shoats. At the second was a coyote helping out, first time I've got to see that. Got back across the county road and started some more hogs. Caught 2 small board and then my black gyp bayed a wad right at dark next to 45. We got lucky and caught all the dogs at the last hog so we can get home before dark.

Always a good time when the dogs get in them and stay in them. Sounds like they done pretty good.

No that's my black gyp out of boogie and lady. She is 2 now, really coming on. E brought boogie and and ruby but left them in the buggy. Me and Marshall were running down the other gyps while they were driving and checking for tracks. They found some sow and shoat tracks from the night before and E cast her in there. She carried them about half a mile and bayed the wad. It worked out good because him and Steve got over there and caught the last hog of the day with her. His first hog to catch in a year or two lol

Yup most dang near all of them go back to a black Perry/mellman dog. Even the red ones. We have some yellow dogs on the chain occasionally but we don't like to claim them lol
