I'm not really good with numbers and on how tight these dogs can be. I'm contemplating a fathers daughter cross. My gyp is out of boogie but he is getting so old and sick we need to get some more pups out of him. I've always heard father/daughter cross was the best way to reproduce the sire.

Hopefully Larry will chime in. He got his really tight. I can tell you this cross isn't too tight. These dogs are doing great.

One of my best crosses was a father to daughter cross.

You show 2 out crosses on boogies side in 2 generations, id think you will be more than ok with that cross. I wouldnt think twice about it.

Since Boogie is an outcross himself you should be fine with that breeding. Based on what you have written if I wanted to tighten up on Boogie I would do exactly the same as you propose.

The next question is will it produce what you are hoping for, maybe, maybe not but only one way to find out. Good luck, looks like a nice breeding to me.
